The Committee for Observation of State National & International Days of Y.K. College, Wangjing observed the National Science Day for this year on the 28th February 2023 at Mini Conference Hall of the college. The theme of this year’s observation is “Global Science for Global Wellbeing”. The function was presided by Dr. S. Giri Singh, Principal of the college. Two resource persons namely O. Binoykumar Singh, Associate Professor of Physics and Dr. N. Sovarani, Assistant Professor of Environmental Science delivered talks on various themes during the programme. They recalled the life history and achievements of the renowned Indian scientist Sir C. V. Raman whose memorable event of “Raman Effect discorvery” is popularly celebrated as the National Science day worldwide. About 50 participants including faculty members and students of the college took part in the programme.
