About Course

Historical background of the Vijaynagara Empire which was the last powerful hindu empire in the south that was able to stop the Muslim invasion. The Viaynagara empire was alwasys at war with the Bahamani Kingdon , its neighbours over the supremacy of the raichur Doab and which finally led to its downfall in the battle of Talikota. The city of Hampi which is a historical site is a legacy of theis prosperous empire in the south whhich for many cneturies have remain unknown. the empire continued to exist till 1646 AD, it lost its importance in 1565 AD after a key military defeat (The battle of Talikota)
